Britain & Co. were excited to have our work featured on BBC Breakfast news at Kensington Palace in May.

In advance of the new exhibition into the childhood of Queen Victoria, we were commissioned by Historic Royal Palaces to carry out gilding works to the panelled doors of the Victoria Rooms, oil-gilding using 23.5ct gold leaf.

Working over a two-week period alongside an on-site team of conservators carrying out works to the framed artwork in the rooms, our craftsmen were able to carefully gild these beautiful panels, even providing an impromptu demonstration for some members of the public.

Our work was then featured on a live news report on Good Morning Britain as one of the reporters talked through the restoration and decoration works being undertaken at the Palace.

For more information about the exhibition, or to see our gilding work in person, go to the Historic Royal Palaces website.
