Britain & Co can offer a very diverse range of skills. For clients who require the re-creation or restoration of historic schemes, we offer a complete specialist decoration service. This can include hand colour mixing, marbling, graining, gilding, imitation stone, traditional stencilling, trompe l’oeil, broken colours and decorating in heritage paints such as limewash and distemper.

Trompe Loeil

We create realistic and playful illusions of three dimensional mouldings in the fine decorative tradition. They are executed in grisaille (shades of grey) or full colour to compliment the overall scheme.

Mural Panels

From concept design to painting and installation, we create bespoke mural paintings in situ or offsite on canvas to be installed at the correct stage of the project. We frequently combine fine hand-painted decoration with metal leaf backgrounds and details.

Chinoiserie

The styles of Chinese and Japanese painting have been popular since the eighteenth century and are used to add opulent and oriental influences in the European tradition.
